UPDATED PARKING POLICIES – As we cannot expand the size of our parking lot, we are working hard to bring our guests and loyal passholders an improved canyon & parking experience this season. Explore our new policies below.

23/24 Parking

RESERVATION REQUIREMENTS: All vehicles must have a reservation on all Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays prior to 1pm. Parking reservations are required:

  • All Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays, effective Friday, December 15 through closing day. 
  • Daily, Tuesday, December 26 through Tuesday, January 2
  • Monday, January 15
  • Monday, February 19

INVENTORY RELEASES: Please note, parking is NOT sold out! At this time, we have released LESS THAN 50% of our total parking inventory for the season.  If you are unable to reserve a spot today, a limited number of parking spaces for the upcoming weekend opens every Sunday at 6pm. Remaining daily inventory is released the day prior to arrival at 8am and 2pm, allowing several opportunities to reserve parking for your desired ski/ride day. 

LAST MINUTE AVAILABILITY: If you are unable to book parking for your desired ski/ride day, we encourage you to check availability the night before and morning of as cancellations are accepted up until 7am and common during late hours. Once a reservation is canceled, the parking space is immediately made available for booking in the system.

PASSHOLDER PARKING CODES: All qualifying passholders ages 18+ are issued a unique parking code via email and should have received it prior to this update. If you have not received it and are a Brighton Platinum, Unlimited, Base, Midweek, or Bright-N-Early Passholder or are a Passholder between the ages of 16 and 18 and have a valid driver’s license, please email help@brightonresort.com or parkbrightonresort@interstateparking.com to obtain your parking code.

MIDWEEK V.I.P. PARKING:  V.I.P. Parking is now available to book to reserve Monday through Thursdays (excluding holidays) in front of Explorer Lift similar to the 22/23 season. Spots will be held until 11am the day of you reservation. After this time, your spot will be released to the public. V.I.P. parking is non-refundable. 

EVENT PARKING: Parking may be limited on special event days. Upcoming events that may impact parking are: 

  • Bomb Hole Cup: April 6-7
  • Pride Ride: April 6
  • Ski Utah Discover Winter: April 13

24/25 Parking

RESERVATION REQUIREMENTS: All vehicles must have a reservation on all Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays prior to 12pm. Parking reservations are required:

  • All Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays
  • Daily, December 21 through January 5
  • Monday, January 20
  • Monday, February 17

DAILY LOT CLOSURES: The parking lot is closed every day, 12am - 7am, for snow clearing/grooming. This work is crucial to maintaining a maximum number of spaces throughout the season.

COMPLIMENTARY PASSHOLDER PARKING: Qualifying Brighton Passholders can hold up to two free parking reservations at a time. Additional reservations can still be made (max 5 reservations per license plate/account). 

QUALIFYING PASSHOLDERS: Passholder parking perks apply to all Unlimited, Base & Midweek Passholders ages 18+. Passholders between the ages of 16 and 18 will need to provide proof of a valid driver’s license to obtain a parking code for the 24/25 season.

Parking FAQ

  • Yes, but only a weekends and holidays.

    • Parking reservations are required in the main lot, along all snow ramps and any additional parking around the loop (only when reservations are required)2. 
    • The Brighton Store parking lot will be reserved for employees ONLY. If overflow parking is needed at the Store lot, please wait to be instructed by a Brighton or Interstate attendant before parking. Otherwise, guests parking in the employee are will recieve a violation fee. 
  • Reservations will be available through an online reservation system. Click "Reserve Parking" above and select the day(s) you want to make a reservation for. You can only hold a max of 5 reservations on your profile at a time. 

  • At this time, less than 5o% of the 23/24 season's parking reservations have been released and many days are still open!     • Reservations are required for any vehicles parking at the resort prior to 1pm on weekends and holidays (23/24)
    • The parking lot is closed from 12am - 7am DAILY to ensure proper lot grooming. 
  • Parking reservations are held through your license plate.

    • Up to 2 plates can be stored per guest profile. 
    • A max of 5 reservations per plate are allowed at one time. 
  • Reservations are verified via license plate once you park to ensure we don’t reduce the flow of traffic – no need to stop at a kiosk!

  • If you need to make more than 5 reservations tied to a single plate, we recommend adding "UT' or "UTAH" at the end of your plate number allowing you to make more than 5 reservations under one plate. 

    • Parking reservations are FREE for qualifying Brighton Season Passholders whenever your pass is valid.  
    • For all others, parking reservations will cost $20 per day. 
    • Limited discounts offered for qualifying ski school programs and for guests carpooling up the canyon (23/24).
    • Brighton Season Passholders will park FREE, any time your pass is valid, but reservations are still required.  
    • Brighton Season Passholders of driving age will receive reusable parking vouchers to use throughout the season. These vouchers will take your reservation cost down to $0.  
      • If you have children between the ages of 16-18 with a valid license, please email a copy to help@brightonresort.com and we can issue them a unique parking code. 
    • A certain number of parking spaces will be prioritized for our Brighton Season Passholders ONLY.
    • Vouchers become reusable once your current reservation day has passed. 
      • Ex: You make a reservation for Dec 14. When the day ends, the voucher code used for your Dec 14 reservation can now be made for a new date.  
    • Brighton Season Passholders will receive vouchers that are valid any time their Season Pass is also valid. Passholder will be able to hold a certain number of reservations at a time: 
      • Platinum/Unlimited: 5 reusable free parking vouchers – Valid anytime. 
      • Base: 3 reusable free parking vouchers – Valid anytime, excluding holiday blackouts. 
      • Midweek: 2 reusable free parking vouchers – Valid Monday - Friday excluding holiday blackouts. 
      • Twilight: No reservations required after 1p.m and therefore no voucher needed to park! 
    • No Shows: Failure to cancel a Brighton Passholder parking reservation prior to 7am day of, may result in the pausing of free parking reservation benefits. 
  • Brighton Passholders 18+ have received an email with their 23/24 parking code. If you have NOT yet received your code or are between the ages of 16-18 with a valid drivers license and a 23/24 Season Pass, please email help@brightonresort.com to get a code assigned to you. If you have yet to purchase a Season Pass, you will receieve your parking code within 24 hours. 

    At this time, less than 5o% of the season's parking reservations have been released and many days are still open! Additional weekly parking will be releeased every Sunday throughout the season. To redeem your code and make your parking reservation(s) follow the steps below: 

     

    • REDEEMING YOUR CODE: Visit www.reservenski.parkbrightonresort.com > "Redeem Parking Code" > "Submit." Create a new account or log in to an existing parking reservations account. If you have previously made parking reservations at Solitude or Alta, you may already have an account. Users must create individual profiles through HONK.
      • ONLY ONE CODE PER PROFILE.
      • MAX 5 ACTIVE RESERVATIONS PER PROFILE ALLOWED AT A TIME. 
    • MAKING A RESERVATION: Be sure to book from your parking code to see complimentary season parking rates. To do so, navigate to your profile by clicking the icon in the top right corner. Select "View Parking Codes" then "Reserve Parking." Choose the date you wish to reserve and select "Season Pass" parking. Input your license plate information and select "Park for Free" to confirm your plate.
    • GET READY TO RIDE:  Your parking spot is now reserved until 1pm on your chosen day. Your reservation is verified by license plate number – just park and go play!  


    From the confirmation page you can update your license plate number, cancel your reservation or scroll to the bottom of the screen to book another reservation using your permit. Once 1pm has passed on your active reservation date, the promo code will be released back into your account to allow another reservation to be booked. You can view your active reservations, book more reservations and manage your account at any time by clicking the profile icon at the top right corner of the page.

  • To make your parking reservation(s):

    • Visit: parkbrightonresort.com and select ‘Parking Reservations’
    • Click ‘reserve a parking spot’
    • Select your date on calendar, then choose reservation type (Carpool 3+ or General Parking) below calendar
    • Create new account or log in to existing parking reservations account. MAX 5 ACTIVE RESERVATIONS PER PROFILE ALLOWED AT A TIME. 
    • On checkout screen, add license plate number at the top and credit card information at the bottom.
    • Select the blue button on the bottom that says 'Park for Free' or 'Park $20 and Park.'
    • Confirm your plate.
    • Reservation is complete! Your parking spot will be reserved until 1pm. Reservation is verified by license plate number, just park and go play.

     

     From the confirmation page you can update your license plate number, cancel your reservation or scroll to the bottom of the screen to book another reservation. Limited of 5 active reservations are permitted at a time. Once 1pm has passed on your active reservation date, you will have the option to book another reservation.   • There is currently no way to make a reservation for an ADA or Handicap parking space. If you require ADA compliant parking, please make your parking reservation through your applicable channel (Passholder, Carpool, Paid, etc), but please note that ADA spaces are still filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

    As we cannot guarentee ADA spaces through our new reservation system, we have added additional ADA & Handicap spaces in front of the Brighton Center and Milly Chalet. 

  • Carpooling discounts will be offered, but reservations are still required.  

    • 1-2/car: Full Price 
    • 3+/car: FREE 

    Oversized vehicles do NOT qualify for free carpool reservation. 

  •  

    • Vans: Panel, Sprinter, Camper
    • Trucks: 4-Door Standard Longbed (7'), Longbed (8')
    • Misc: Vehicles towing a trailer, equipment, etc. 

     

    Vehicles large enough to take up more than 1 parking spot may be subject to an additional parking fee. 

  • All vehicles parked in the lot on weekends and holidays are required to have a parking reservation if it’s prior to 1pm, however, certain discounts will be offered for qualifying Ski School programs.   

    • Multi-Week Camp participants park free. We will register your license plate for you prior to the start of your program. You do NOT need to make a reservation through the parking portal.  
    • All other Snowsports School programs qualify for 20% off a parking reservation that will be distributed via voucher code. Special parking vouchers will be emailed to you prior to the start of your program/lesson. 
       
    • Parking without a reservation between the hours of 7am and 1pm will result in a minimum of $125 violation fee.  
    • Parking between the hours of 12am and 7am may also incur a fee.  
    • Parking prior to 7am may result in pausing of benefits or a violation fee. 
    • Parking without a reservation 3+ times may result in the pausing of future parking reservations.
       
    • Reservations are non-refundable but CAN be cancelled until 7am morning of. 
    • Failure to cancel FREE Brighton Passholder reservations may result in the pausing future reservation benefits. 
    • Exceptions can be made for illnesses or emergencies on a case-by-case basis.


     

  • All refund requests, citation appeals, etc will be handled directly through Interstate Parking NOT Brighton Guest Services. You can contact them HERE

  • If the canyon closes due to weather, refunds can be issued and you will not be penalized for a no-show.

  • Overnight parking is NOT allowed. All cars must be moved out of the lot by 12am or your vehicle may be ticketed or even towed.

  • Yes, but lodge guests park free. Your car will be registered with the front desk of the Brighton Lodge upon check in. 

  • Go ahead and proceed with making your parking reservation as is and simply input your own license plate. Once you have your rental car, log back in to HONK and select "Manage Reservations." From here, you can update the license plate on your existing reservation(s).
