Instructors

Passionate about sharing the sport they love.

Highly trained and thoroughly dedicated

All Brighton instructors are “passionate about sharing the sport they love,” which is why this is our mission statement. It takes over 50 hours of training to qualify to become a Brighton instructor followed by an additional 10 hours throughout the season. This ensures that instructors are well trained and current in the latest techniques resulting in the highest quality lessons. And you’re assured of having a quality instructor who cares about you.

Many of our students return to request their favorite instructor for private lessons. You can too! Just make a reservation 24 hours in advance by calling: 801 532-4731 ext. 209.

Our instructors are dedicated. We have 170 instructors and 50 have chosen instructing as their full-time career. Our other instructors have full-time careers in other professions, so they teach on a part-time schedule, but they are every bit as dedicated. Our instructors have taught at Brighton for an average of 5.62 years.

We love kids

We teach over 40,000 children per season, we know how they learn, and we’ve perfected ways to teach them. “Safety, fun and learning” is our motto and it’s reflected in our staff’s goals. Brighton teaches kids from over 75 schools and is truly the place where most locals have learned to ski and ride. Our kids’ instructors are specially trained whether you’re from Salt Lake City, Seattle or Switzerland,

And we love to coach adults

Many of our instructors choose to specialize in some aspect of skiing and riding. Some specialize in techniques unique to women, some understand the senior crowd, and some of our shredders are gifted in the terrain parks. And they all smile a big grin when you ask them to coach you in Brighton’s fresh powder. What ever your needs, we have an instructor for you.
